Humanitarian aid

A large part of humanitarian aid passed through Lviv. During 1000 days, Lviv accepted more than 20 thousand tons of humanitarian cargo from all over the world. Thanks to the coordination of the city authorities, more than 1 million first-aid kits and 200 ambulances have arrived in Ukraine.

Medical support

Medical support has become an important area of the city's work. In May 2022, Lviv created the first medical association, which united the largest hospitals in the city to coordinate assistance to the injured. This significantly increased the efficiency of medical services.

Damaged buildings

During the 1,000 days of war, 50 enemy attacks were carried out on Lviv and the Lviv region. About 200 buildings in Lviv were damaged due to shelling by Russian troops. In particular, among the most affected are 20 buildings that require major renovation. Some of them, such as the houses on Stryiska Street, had to be rebuilt almost from scratch. In general, historical monuments, schools, medical institutions and residential buildings were also damaged as a result of the attacks.

The Lviv City Council is actively working on the restoration of houses. Part of the funds come from the city budget, as well as through the "Take Care of a House" initiative, which involves Ukrainian and international companies to finance the reconstruction of specific objects. Such efforts help not only to return housing to residents, but also to restore the city's architectural heritage.
