In particular, the carol "Silent Night, Holy Night" was heard in the Garrison Church. This is one of the most famous and favourite Christmas carols in the world, written by the Austrian priest Joseph Mohr in 1818. The music for it was composed by composer Franz Xaver Gruber.

The carol has been translated into over 300 languages and has become a symbol of peace and tranquillity; it is often performed at Christmas church services, concerts, and during festive gatherings.
