A grand opening of a Christmas tree took place in Lviv on Thursday, December 5, in relation to the approaching Christmas and New Year holidays. The height of the green beauty reaches eighteen meters. At the same time, no budget funds were spent on its installation, the tree was donated to the city.

Opening of the Christmas tree in Lviv
Not only residents of Lviv, but also guests of the city gathered at the opening of the festive Christmas tree near the Opera House, in particular, from Bakhmut, Mariupol and many others temporarily occupied by Russian invaders. The wife of mayor Andriy Sadovyi, Kateryna, spoke to the people.
"We have been forming a new tradition of our Christmas for ten years. Christmas is not only about the hassle, gifts, excitement, what to give, how to celebrate. Christmas is about where to get the strength to endure all this suffering that falls on us," she emphasized.
Previously, the capital has started to install the main Christmas tree of Ukraine. The official opening of the New Year location on Sofia Square will be tomorrow.
In addition, they have begun to install the city's main Christmas tree in Odesa, on Derybasivska street. It is planned to open it on December 6, on St. Nicholas Day.
